HOW TO INVEST IN
SHARES
There is an opportunity for you to buy shares of your choice at will, with a
minimum of =N=5000 from any of the blue chip or quoted companies. Blue chip
stocks are common stocks of well-known companies with histories of profit
growth and dividend payment as well as quality management of products and
services. They are usually high priced. Usually, a number of factors such as
level of operation of the company and consistent track records of return on
investment determine if a company is blue chip or not.
Reliable blue chip companies include Union Bank of Nigeria Plc, First Bank
of Nigeria Plc, Cadbury, Wapco, UACN of Nigeria, Nestle, Unilever, Nigerian
Breweries, Mobil, Unipetrol e.t.c.
However their prices vary, so you would need to consider that when buying
shares.
Before any purchase can be effected, an account must be opened for you. As
such, you would have to fill some forms (Mandate forms, Transfer forms and
CSCS shareholders form) authorizing us to buy shares on your behalf, this
would require your presence in our office (please find address below).
However, if you stay outside Lagos and cannot make it to our office, I would
advise you call us on 01-2643973 (Lagos), 053-258113(Warri), 056-285572 (Asaba)
so an alternative arrangement can be made.
The companies you invest in will communicate with you by post after
declaration of dividends - in form of bonus share certificate or dividend
warrant.
Quarterly, CSCS will send you a statement on your investment via us.
